Purpose and responsibilities.
Global Research develops analysis on economies, markets, asset classes, companies, investment themes, policy, and other developments relevant to portfolio and business decisions. The division supports the investment process and the firm’s research and publishing capabilities.
Economic & Market Research
Analyze growth, inflation, rates, policy, credit, currencies, and market conditions that can affect investors.
Investment Research
Evaluate securities, funds, sectors, asset classes, strategies, and portfolio implications.
Thematic Research
Study structural changes in technology, demographics, geopolitics, regulation, and industry that can shape long-term opportunities and risks.
Research Communication
Translate analysis into clear written, visual, and presentation formats for investment and client use.
Connected to the rest of the firm.
Research is expected to be useful. Analysts distinguish evidence from opinion, identify what changed, explain why it matters, and connect findings to actual investment or business questions.
The division works closely with Investment Management and other teams, while maintaining the independence necessary to challenge assumptions and test conclusions.

- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Understanding of economics, markets, finance, industries, or relevant specialist fields
