Cybersecurity Analyst
About the Role
Global Advisers is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst in Brooklyn, NY to protect the firm's systems, identities, endpoints, cloud services, and sensitive information through practical security controls, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security events, investigate alerts, and coordinate incident response.
- Administer identity, access, endpoint, and cloud-security controls.
- Support vulnerability management, patching, configuration review, and remediation tracking.
- Maintain security procedures, evidence, and operational documentation.
- Participate in vendor-security reviews, business-continuity testing, and cybersecurity assessments.
- Partner with compliance and technology teams to strengthen controls without creating unnecessary operational friction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
- Three or more years of cybersecurity, systems administration, security operations, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of identity, endpoint, cloud, network, and incident-response concepts.
- Strong investigative and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive security information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security+, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft security certification, or similar credential.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, endpoint management, or regulated financial firms.
