About the Role

Global Advisers is seeking a Data Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT to build reliable data pipelines, databases, and analytics infrastructure that support investment, client, operational, compliance, and management reporting. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Design data pipelines and data models for structured business and investment information.
  • Integrate data from APIs, custodians, internal systems, and approved third-party sources.
  • Implement data-quality checks, lineage, monitoring, and recovery procedures.
  • Support analytics and reporting use cases with clean, well-documented datasets.
  • Optimize database performance and automate recurring data workflows.
  • Partner with security and application teams on access controls and data governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of data engineering, database, analytics-engineering, or related experience.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and relational data models.
  • Strong attention to data quality, controls, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure, APIs, Power BI, investment data, or CRM platforms.
  • Experience with regulated or security-sensitive data.
