About the Role

Global Advisers is seeking a Employment Counsel in Cherry Hill, NJ to advise the firm on employment law, recruiting, employee relations, compensation, policies, investigations, and workforce decisions across the firm's U.S. operations. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Advise HCM and management on recruiting, performance, discipline, leave, accommodation, compensation, and separation matters.
  • Review employment agreements, policies, notices, and workforce documentation.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local employment-law developments affecting the firm's locations.
  • Support investigations and employee-relations matters.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized or contested matters.
  • Provide practical guidance that supports consistent and lawful employment decisions.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and eligibility to perform the role's legal work.
  • Five or more years of employment-law experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and multi-state workforce issues.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, writing, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-house employment counsel experience.
  • Experience with financial services, compensation, privacy, or regulated-workforce issues.
