Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst
About the Role
Global Advisers is seeking a Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst in Chicago, IL to support fixed-income portfolio construction, security analysis, trading preparation, and ongoing monitoring across taxable and tax-exempt strategies. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Analyze yield, duration, credit quality, call features, liquidity, and relative value across fixed-income securities.
- Support municipal, corporate, Treasury, agency, and cash-management portfolio reviews.
- Prepare trade lists, portfolio analytics, and pre- and post-trade documentation.
- Monitor maturities, calls, credit events, and portfolio cash flows.
- Maintain fixed-income research and contribute to investment committee materials.
- Coordinate with operations and advisors to support accurate implementation and client reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or a related field.
- Two or more years of fixed-income, investment research, portfolio analytics, trading support, or related experience preferred.
- Understanding of bond mathematics, yield measures, duration, credit risk, and portfolio construction.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with time-sensitive investment information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward CFA® designation.
- Experience with municipal bonds, portfolio accounting systems, Bloomberg, or FactSet.
