About the Role

Global Advisers is seeking a Fixed Income Research Analyst in San Francisco, CA to analyze credit markets, interest-rate conditions, bond structures, and relative value to support fixed-income portfolio decisions. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Perform credit and relative-value analysis across corporate, municipal, government, and agency securities.
  • Evaluate issuer fundamentals, spreads, duration, liquidity, and event risk.
  • Monitor rate curves, credit conditions, new issuance, and macroeconomic drivers.
  • Prepare research recommendations and portfolio implications for investment teams.
  • Maintain issuer and market-monitoring frameworks.
  • Communicate changes in credit views and key risks promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of fixed-income, credit, municipal, or investment-research experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bond mathematics, credit analysis, and fixed-income market structure.
  • Strong Excel and analytical-writing skills.
  • Ability to evaluate downside risk and changing market conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA® charter or progress toward the designation.
  • Experience with municipal credit, corporate credit, Bloomberg, or portfolio analytics.
