Insurance & Risk Planning Specialist
About the Role
Global Advisers is seeking a Insurance & Risk Planning Specialist in Chicago, IL to integrate life, disability, long-term care, annuity, and business-risk considerations into broader client financial plans while coordinating implementation through approved insurance resources. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Assess client protection needs in the context of income, assets, family obligations, business interests, and estate objectives.
- Develop insurance analyses covering life, disability, long-term care, annuity, and business-protection needs where appropriate.
- Coordinate case design, underwriting, carrier communication, and policy implementation.
- Explain tradeoffs, costs, policy features, and planning implications clearly to clients and advisors.
- Maintain documentation and support periodic policy and needs reviews.
- Coordinate insurance recommendations with investment, retirement, tax, estate, and business planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of insurance planning, wealth management, financial planning, or insurance case-management experience.
- Active life and health insurance license in the applicable jurisdiction or ability to obtain required licensing.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and needs-analysis principles.
- Strong client communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, or similar designation.
- Experience supporting high-net-worth, executive, or business-owner insurance cases.
