About the Role

Global Advisers is seeking a Macro Research Analyst in Bethesda, MD to analyze economic growth, inflation, monetary policy, interest rates, currencies, and other macroeconomic forces that influence asset allocation and portfolio risk. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain views on U.S. and global growth, inflation, monetary policy, and interest-rate conditions.
  • Track economic releases, central-bank decisions, fiscal developments, and market expectations.
  • Build scenario analyses connecting macroeconomic outcomes to asset-class and portfolio implications.
  • Write research briefs and present conclusions to investment and advisory teams.
  • Maintain reproducible datasets, forecasts, and analytical documentation.
  • Challenge consensus assumptions and update views when evidence changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of macroeconomic, market, policy, or investment-research experience.
  • Strong statistical, data-analysis, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in monetary policy, rates, and global capital markets.
  • Ability to work independently and meet recurring research deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in economics, finance, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with Python, R, econometrics, or market-data platforms.
