Quantitative Research Analyst
About the Role
Global Advisers is seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst in Washington, DC to develop quantitative research, data pipelines, portfolio analytics, and empirical tests that improve investment decision-making and risk assessment. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test quantitative signals, portfolio analytics, and research frameworks.
- Clean, validate, and analyze financial and market datasets.
- Build reproducible research code and documentation.
- Evaluate statistical robustness, implementation constraints, and model risk.
- Partner with portfolio managers and fundamental researchers to integrate quantitative evidence.
- Improve research tooling, automation, and data-quality controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Three or more years of quantitative research, data science, investment analytics, or related experience.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Strong statistical reasoning and ability to explain model assumptions and limitations.
- Experience working with large or imperfect datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in a quantitative field.
- Experience with factor models, portfolio optimization, machine learning, or financial-market data.
