Web Applications Engineer

About the Role

Global Advisers is seeking a Web Applications Engineer in Palo Alto, CA to develop and maintain secure web applications and WordPress-based business systems across the firm's public websites and internal operational tools. The role is designed for professionals who can exercise sound judgment, work collaboratively, and maintain high standards of accuracy, client service, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom WordPress plugins, front-end interfaces, forms, and secure integrations.
  • Maintain reusable code standards and reduce unnecessary plugin and page-builder dependencies.
  • Implement responsive interfaces and troubleshoot cross-browser or device issues.
  • Build controlled integrations with APIs, email, CRM, and data services.
  • Perform testing, deployment, version control, and rollback planning.
  • Document code, architecture, configuration, and support procedures.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of professional web-development experience.
  • Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and WordPress development skills.
  • Experience with APIs, relational databases, Git, and deployment workflows.
  • Understanding of web security, performance, and accessibility fundamentals.
  • Ability to work from business requirements and maintain production systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure, financial-services websites, WordPress multisite/subdomains, or custom plugin architecture.
  • Experience integrating CRM, forms, or publishing systems.
